D.E.A.F., Inc. provides a wide range of programs to maximize the independence of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, and to increase awareness in the hearing community.
Each program is staffed by a Coordinator/Director and direct service personnel located in our Allston headquarters. (The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Independent Living Program operates out of four satellite offices as well). Contact information for all offices can be found here.

- The Independent Living
Program is a service that provides information and referrals for
advocacy, skills training, peer counseling, and technical assistance.
- Guidance in obtaining
federal dollars to purchase Assistive Technology is the mission
of the Title 7, Part B Program.
- Academic, vocational, and independent
living evaluations are conducted through counselor referrals in
the Evaluation Unit program.
- Project HOPE offers health support services including prevention and education, case management and peer support to the Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened Communities.
- Interpreter Mentorship provides one-on-one mentorship and workshops for interpreters preparing to become screened/certified American Sign Language Interpreters.
- DBCAN provides services to Deaf and Blind persons and their families.
